UNT, the State of Texas, and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requires that all employees who might have occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials learn about bloodborne pathogens. This training is required for those who may be exposed to human or non-human primate blood, tissues, cells, tissue cultures or OPIM, and must be repeated every year.
