SDS Information

Safety Data Sheets (SDS formerly MSDS) are extremely important in the safe handling of hazardous substances. SDS provide valuable information on chemicals as well as procedures for handling and working with a substance safely. The SDS includes information such as physical data (boiling point, flash point, etc.), health effects, toxicity, first aid, storage, disposal, personal protective equipment, and spill/leak procedures. SDS search instructions:

• Type the chemical name into the search bar. If there are no results or multiple results use the CAS# in the advanced search option to refine the search. If the SDS can not be found please contact chemical safety at 940-565-4196.
• As a back up SDS can usually be accessed via a Google search using the chemical name and SDS in the search bar. Ex. ‘Ethanol  SDS’.
