Stormwater runoff can carry sediment, oil, chemicals, trash, and other pollutants from buildings, sidewalks, parking lots, streets, construction areas, and landscaped areas into the storm drain system. UNT manages stormwater to help protect water quality, reduce pollution, and support compliance with applicable stormwater permit requirements.

The UNT Stormwater Management Plan outlines practices used to reduce stormwater impacts from campus operations, construction activities, and developed areas. The Annual Stormwater Report provides information about stormwater program activities and permit-related reporting.
